Obituary of Martha Meyer
Martha A. "Muff" Meyer, 68, of Greentown, died Monday, August 7, 2017 at Lehigh Valley Pocono Hospice House in East Stroudsburg. She was the loving wife of Rolf Meyer with whom she shared 28 years of marriage.
Born in Scranton, she was a daughter of the late Harry and Mary (Nelson) Campbell.
Muff graduated from Pocono Central Catholic School in 1967. After high school, she joined the FBI as a fingerprint technician. Muff's true passion was being a florist; having worked in many local floral shops over the last 45 years. She loved spending time with her family, and being a snowbird. She was of the catholic faith and a member of Most Holy Trinity Parish.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by her sons, Shawn Hilbert and his wife, Jennifer of Wind Gap, John Hilbert and his wife, Shannon of Greentown; step-daughter, Michele Meyer of Stewartsville, New Jersey; siblings, Carolyn Becherer of Cresco, Margaret Herchik of Cresco, John Campbell of Cresco and Mary Beil of Lithia, Florida; grandchildren, Julia, Brett, Lexi, Allyssa, John Thomas, Brittany; great-granddaughter, Olivia; step-granddaughter, Alyssa, and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her brothers, Michael and James Campbell and step-son, Warner Meyer.
There will be a visitation from 9 to 11 a.m. Friday, August 11 at Villa of Our Lady, 245 Meadowside Road, Mount Pocono. Reverend Father Vito will celebrate a Mass of Christian burial at 11 a.m. at the Villa.
