Obituary of Carolina Gala
Carolina Gala, 93, of Cresco, died Tuesday, July 4, 2017 at home.
Born in Scranton, she was a daughter of the late Nikolas and Gertrude (Lopa) Campanella.
Carolina grew up in Scranton and was one of nine brothers and sisters. She moved to Bound Brook, New Jersey, and subsequently moved and raised her family in Edison, New Jersey. In her working career, Carolina was a keypunch operator for Mattel. Later, Carolina moved to the Poconos and was a member of the Mountainhome United Methodist Church where she participated in the Harvesters Group and the Barrett Seniors.
She is survived by her daughters, Carolann Renick of Cresco, Linda Galasso of Lake Stevens, Washington, and Deanna Jancsek of North Brunswick, New Jersey; brother, Michael Campanella of Dover, Delaware; five grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. Carolina was preceded in death by her daughter Rita Barrueco and seven sisters and brothers..
There will be a visitation from 1 to 3 pm, Saturday, July 8 at Bolock Funeral Home, 6148 Paradise Valley Road, Cresco. Pastor John Keretzman will hold a memorial service at 3 pm at the funeral home.

Private cremation has been entrusted to Bolock Funeral Home Crematory.
